Sublimation works only on synthetic fabrics, usually polyester, and actually dyes the thread of the fabric. There is nothing lying on top of the fabric, and the feel of the sleeve fabric does not change. It only changes the color of the fabric fibre itself. The image can't be washed out and won't fade with washings. It is as permanent as the fabric itself.
